PRISMA Moderation Gian-Philip Andreas, Ingrid Beerbaum, Ricardo Brunn Die Screenings werden i.d.R. in Originalversion mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt. Begleitend zum Internationalen Wettbewerb gibt das Festival in 14 Programmen mit 140 Animationen, Spiel- und Experimentalfilmen sowie Dokumentationen Einblick in die Diversität der Poesiefilmszene. Tanz, Musik und Performance unterstreichen das engagierte, befreiende Moment von Dichtung: Tänzerinnen brechen mit entfesselter Bewegung Isolation auf und zwischen Gräbern wird wie verrückt getanzt. Viele Beiträge richten sich gegen unsere galoppierende Selbstvernichtung und die Umweltzerstörung. Manche Gedichtzeilen werden zu einem Kleidungsstück vernäht – Upcycling statt Fast Fashion. Andere thematische Schwerpunkte sind Liebe, Urbanität sowie Vergänglichkeit und ihre Spiegelung in der Natur. Naomi Replansky At 100 USA 2020 | 6 min R: Megan Rossman G: Gray Hairs / In the Woods D: Naomi Replansky Kurz-Portrait der US-amerikanischen Dichterin Naomi Replansky, 100 Jahre jung. Replansky liest früheste Gedichte und spricht über lesbische Liebe, über Form und Funktion ihrer Dichtung. Vor einem schwarzen Raum, genau, respektvoll, zärtlich fast von der Kamera betrachtet. Eine Hommage an die Jugend, im Alter gespiegelt. Mririda MAR 2021 | 6 min R: Fatimaazahra Rhaffar D: Mririda Mririda ist eine junge Poetin, die im Hohen Atlas, Marokko, geboren wurde. Um ein freies und erfülltes Leben voll Poesie und Liebe führen zu können, muss sie mit gesellschaftlichen Normen kämpfen. Einer Zusammenkunft mit dem jungen Franzosen Reuné Euloge, dem sie während ihrer Reise Richtung Freiheit begegnet, entspringt ein Buch, das ihre Kunst erhält und verewigt. Hope Called Tomorrow MMR 2021 | 13 min R: Paing Aung D: Tin Tun Hlaing In den späten 1980er Jahren beteiligte sich der Student Tin Tun Hlaing am Aufstand gegen die Militärdiktatur. Er wurde verhaftet und verbrachte zehn Jahre im Gefängnis. Sensibles Portrait eines aufgewühlten Mannes, der seine eigene Form von „Aktionspoesie“ nutzt, um die tiefen Narben zu ertragen. Überwachungsgesänge zu Beethoven warnen vor „friedlichen Bombardements“. Und der Jupiter wehrt sich singend gegen seine drohende Besiedlung durch Menschen. Avantgarde, Polit-Kritik, schräger Humor. The international competition is accompanied by 14 programmes containing 140 animated, feature and experimental films as well as documentaries, which facilitate an insight into the diversity of the poetry film scene. Dance, music and performance underline the committed, liberating moment of poetry. Dancers break out of the isolation with unleashed movement and between graves people dance like crazy. Many contributions target our galloping self-extermination and the destruction of the environment. Some poem lines are sewn together to make an item of clothing – upcycling instead of fast fashion. Other thematic focuses are love, urbanism as well as transience and its reflection in nature. But, as the poem says, “Everything is fine, / fine”. Naomi Replansky At 100 USA 2020 | 6 min D: Megan Rossman P: Gray Hairs / In the Woods P: Naomi Replansky Short portrait of the US-American poet Naomi Replansky at one hundred. Replansky reads her earliest poems and talks about lesbian love and the form and function of her poetry, against a darkened room: observed precisely, respectfully, almost tenderly by the camera. An hommage to youth reflected in age. Mririda MAR 2021 | 6 min D: Fatimaazahra Rhaffar P: Mririda Mririda is a young poet born in the high Atlas mountains. She must challenge societal norms to lead a free life full of poetry and of love. An encounter with the young Frenchman Reuné Euloge, whom she meets on her journey towards freedom, turns into a book that contains and immortalises her art.
