Are you planning an extraordinary event? If so, Urania is the right place for you! We are the events platform in the center of the German capital - in the heart of the western part of Berlin, just a few steps from KaDeWe, Kurfürstendamm, Bahnhof Zoo, and the diplomatic quarter. Our location is attractive and easily accessible. We offer our own parking facilities, a convenient connection to public transport and a high density of hotels in immediate surrounding. We run more than 400 guest events annually. We are a non-profit educational institution with a tradition that goes beyond 125 years and also one of Berlin’s leading conference and congress centers.

Our venues for exhibitions, conferences, presentations, fairs, company meetings, seminars, training events, concerts and theater performances, as well as film events that are individually adjusted to your needs. We offer eleven multifunctional spaces (theaters and rooms) on three levels that offer the needed space and technical equipment to host events from 50 to 1,200 guests. On an area of 2,500 square meters we offer opportunities to host exhibitions, performances, and special events. Our cloakroom in the entrance hall offers the ideal space for the reception of your guests. Our facility includes a restaurant, an espresso-bar and additional space which can be provided upone your request. Our comprehensive portfolio leaves a wide range of possibilities for the individual organization of your event. Furthermore, our inner courtyard (parking lot) offers a great outdoor area for receptions in the summertime or the arrangement of large tents.

Our Conference Rooms


Humboldt-Theater is our largest and most extensively equipped event space at Urania and has a seating capacity of 850. This recently restored theater hosts great and famous personalities of our time on a regular basis. Here, the Urania-Medal for outstanding social engagement is awarded annually. Furthermore, Humboldt-Theater is particularly popular as a location for stage performances, staff meetings, and movie screenings.

The historical oak-paneled Kleist-Theater is traditionally used for readings, lectures, and discussions. It also provides the ideal atmosphere for cabaret, staff meetings and movie screenings.

The Einstein Room is suitable for presentations and panel discussions offers space for up to 70 people and includes technology for sound and conferences, Wi-Fi, and a telephone connection. The daylight in this room can be controlled.



The Kepler conference room offers space for up to 70 people and includes technology for sound and conferencing, devices to control outdoor light, Wi-Fi, and a telephone connection.


Edison, Darwin, Newton and Austen Rooms - 2nd Floor

When it comes to size, the rooms located on the second floor - Edison, Darwin, Newton, and Austen - have a capacity for up to 200 visitors. Each of the rooms can be used individually and it is possible to equip them with chairs. Therefore, they can be used for trainings, conferences, or seminars, but also for congresses and fairs.

Voltaire, Pasteur and Curie Rooms - 3rd Floor

The third floor provides the light flooded rooms Voltaire, Curie and Pasteur which serve as the ideal setting for seminars, training sessions, exhibitions, and fairs, as well as conferences and staff meetings.

Two large-scaled foyers with a total presentation space of more than 500m² are ideally used for fairs, exhibitions, and information stands. The Arnheim-Foyer includes a spacious cloakroom, several box offices, and a café-bar. The historical Tesla-Foyer is suited for receptions and fairs.
